Welcome to College Bound Parenting. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and College Bound Parenting, LLC ("CBP," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our websites (collegeboundparenting.com and cbpvillage.com), applications, tools, and services including Ask Walter AI, the Strategic Plan Prompt Generator, EssayIQ, the Scholarship Finder, the Common App Activity Section Builder, coaching services, and all related features (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using our Services on behalf of a minor (your child or a student you are authorized to represent), you agree to these Terms on their behalf and accept responsibility for their use of the Services.
Ask Walter AI is an artificial intelligence-powered coaching tool that provides college preparation guidance through text-based chat and voice conversation ("Talk mode"). Ask Walter AI is built on the Delphi AI platform and is designed to provide strategic guidance based on the 9 Pillars of College Success methodology developed by Walter M. Pearson.
Ask Walter AI is an AI tool, not a licensed professional. Ask Walter AI does not replace professional academic advisors, licensed counselors, financial advisors, attorneys, medical professionals, or other licensed practitioners. The guidance provided by Ask Walter AI is informational and strategic in nature and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
No guarantee of outcomes. College Bound Parenting and Ask Walter AI do not guarantee admission to any college or university, receipt of any scholarship or financial aid award, or any specific academic, career, or financial outcome. College admissions and scholarship decisions are made by institutions and organizations outside of our control.
AI limitations. Ask Walter AI is an artificial intelligence system that may occasionally provide inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. While we train Ask Walter AI on our methodology and update its knowledge base regularly, AI systems can make errors. Users should verify important information independently, particularly regarding application deadlines, financial aid requirements, and institutional policies.
Not a substitute for human judgment. Important decisions about college selection, financial commitments, career direction, and accommodation needs should involve consultation with qualified professionals, school counselors, financial advisors, and other appropriate experts in addition to using our Services.
The Prompt Generator is a form-based tool that creates personalized prompts for use with Ask Walter AI. As described in our Privacy Policy, the Prompt Generator runs entirely in your browser and does not transmit or store your data.
Our premium Services include EssayIQ (essay analysis), the Scholarship Finder, the Common App Activity Section Builder, Scholarship Coaching, and monthly accountability calls. Access to premium Services requires a paid subscription as described in Section 5.
Some features of our Services require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update your information as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have your parent's or guardian's permission to use our Services, and your parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.
You agree to use our Services only for their intended purpose: personal college preparation guidance and coaching. You agree not to:
Access to premium Services requires payment of a one-time enrollment fee and a recurring monthly subscription fee. Current pricing is published on our website and may be updated from time to time. We will notify existing subscribers of price changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
Subscriptions are priced per family, not per student. A single subscription covers all children in the household across all stages (K-5 through graduate school). Adding children to your family account does not increase your subscription price.
Monthly subscription fees are billed automatically on the same date each month. Payment is processed through our third-party payment processor (currently Stripe, Inc.). You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees associated with your subscription.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at info@collegeboundparenting.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium Services through the end of your paid period. The one-time enrollment fee is non-refundable.
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable for partial months. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us within 30 days of the charge at info@collegeboundparenting.com.
Institutional partners (including but not limited to the American Heart Association, NSBE, Jack and Jill of America, school districts, and other educational organizations) may license our Services for use by their students, scholars, or members under separate institutional licensing agreements.
If you access our Services through an institutional partner, your use is subject to both these Terms and any additional terms specified in the institutional partner's agreement with us. In the event of a conflict, the institutional licensing agreement controls for matters related to the institutional partnership.
When your access is provided through an institutional partner, your continued access may depend on your continued participation in the partner's program and the partner's continued licensing agreement with us.
The Services, including but not limited to the 9 Pillars of College Success methodology, Ask Walter AI's training data and knowledge base, the Strategic Plan Prompt Generator code, EssayIQ algorithms, coaching frameworks, prompt templates, and all associated content, are the intellectual property of College Bound Parenting, LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the personal information and student data you input into our Services. By using our Services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your inputs solely for the purpose of providing coaching services to you.
Content generated by Ask Walter AI in response to your prompts is provided for your personal use in college preparation. You may save, print, and share AI-generated coaching plans for personal and educational purposes. You may not commercially resell or redistribute AI-generated content.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that: the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; any information provided by Ask Walter AI will be accurate, complete, or current; any particular educational outcome will result from using our Services; or the Services will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
Ask Walter AI is an artificial intelligence system that generates responses based on its training data and algorithms. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for verifying all important information independently.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COLLEGE BOUND PARENTING, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICES, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT; (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT; OR (E) ANY COLLEGE ADMISSIONS, SCHOLARSHIP, OR FINANCIAL AID DECISIONS MADE BY INSTITUTIONS OUTSIDE OF OUR CONTROL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless College Bound Parenting, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Services.
Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at info@collegeboundparenting.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Prince George's County, Maryland, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website, sending you an email, or providing other notice through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11) shall survive.
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CBP regarding the Services.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
