When Walter Pearson's daughter, Savannah, earned one of the most prestigious STEM scholarships in the country — the Meyerhoff Scholarship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) — it wasn't luck. It was the result of years of intentional preparation, strategic positioning, and a proven system that Walter had quietly been developing and refining. The Meyerhoff Scholars Program is nationally recognized for producing some of the nation's top underrepresented STEM graduates and PhD candidates, and watching Savannah earn her place among that elite group confirmed what Walter had long believed: excellence at the highest level isn't an accident — it's built.
